Mayberry Does Exist

For those of you who thought that the classic America of Andy Griffith and Barney Fife was long gone have never visited the quaint small towns of mid-Michigan! I truly feel like I have discovered Mayberry! It's not surprising to pass a man wearing overalls and a plaid shirt in the corner grocery store, or local farmers' wives setting hay bales and corn stalks around the lamp posts in town for Fall decor.
I simply love our small church--packed with people who love God and worship Him daily not just weekly (or worse still, yearly). It's the kind of church if you miss Wednesday night someone from the congregation is going to ask you if you are "Doin' ok?" that next Sunday.
Is it all of the Mid-West or just Michigan that feels like living history! I love it...I think the only thing I would change would be the temperature.
